ABOUT THE EVENT

CYBER HACKATHON DEFEND THE DIGITAL FRONTIER.

Cyber Hackathon 2026 pairs live challenges from India's economic and cyber-crime frontline with a national online hackathon and a one-day Grand Final.

Who is organising it

Cyber Hackathon 2026 is organised by the Cyber Crime and Security Unit (CCSU), Bihar Police, in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Patna.

C-DAC Patna is a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, working on advanced computing, cyber-security research and capacity building. CCSU brings direct, on-ground experience of the cyber-crime cases Bihar Police investigates every day.

Why it exists

Behind every cyber-crime report is a person, a business or a system that needed a stronger defence. Cyber Hackathon 2026 turns real threat patterns into problem statements, and gives student and early-career teams the chance to build a working response in their own private repository.

The goal is not a slide deck. It is a defensible, demonstrable piece of engineering - explained in a short video, screened by the organisers, and, for shortlisted teams, reviewed by judges through its source code and commit history at the Grand Final.

What you get

A verified problem statement grounded in real cyber-crime and security concerns, a clear path from registration to video screening and shortlist, a one-day Grand Final where judges meet each team one-on-one, and an evaluation process that is transparent about its criteria from day one.
